The course is designed to give you the freedom to learn and study how and when you choose
The course is delivered via two methods:
Modules on our online academy
Face to face contact sessions
Upon signing up to a course you will receive an email with log in details to the online academy. You’ll need to download the AcademyHQ app (Apple Store / Play Store) or access the content through the website. When logged in you’ll be able to make your way through all the bite size modules in your own time.
Once these have been started there are a number of face-to-face workshops that need to be attended. You can find the content of the workshops on the “Book a Course” page. We have weekend and weekday evening options to fit around your current work and family commitments
So, you’ll be doing the fact-based information online, which frees up the contact days for practical content and for fitness based discussions. You can find all the course dates on the Book Now page.
Once the contact days have all taken place and the online modules have all been passed you can arrange your assessment. We’ll try and be as flexible as we can, so if you can’t make the assessment date that is linked to your contact days or if you want more time to complete the online work, you can just hop on another assessment day in the future.
How is the course assessed?
The assessments for the Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer courses share some common themes. They both require you to pass:
– Modules at 80% pass mark (on the app)
– 40 multiple choice questions in a traditional exam setting at 70% pass mark on assessment day
– Programme writing on assessment day based on assessor-led scenario
– Practical delivery
Once you have passed all the required assessments you will receive your qualification certificate from a recognised awarding body.
If you have any questions please get in touch.
Otherwise please book here and I’ll see you on the course!
