What started you on your fitness journey?

My own fitness journey began at 15 and was fuelled by other people’s opinions of me, weight loss and calorie restrictions. It wasn’t until my 20s that I saw food as fuel, prioritised gut health, started heavy weight training and truly fell in love with nurturing my body inside and out.

Why did you want to become a personal trainer?

After experiencing my own transformative fitness journey, I felt driven to guide and empower others facing similar challenges. Understanding first-hand the obstacles and uncertainties people encounter when trying to improve their health inspired me to pursue professional qualifications as a personal trainer and nutritional coach.

Now, I help clients build sustainable habits, overcome barriers, and achieve goals they never thought possible. Seeing individuals regain confidence and rediscover joy through health and fitness has become my greatest reward and continues to fuel my passion for coaching every single day.

How have things been since you qualified?

I am currently 5 years into my PT career and I have Dan Cowan at Jump Fitness to thank for helping me get fully qualified! I was given the opportunity to complete my L2 and L3 qualifications alongside my Sport Science degree and so I was able to pass them in a timely manner. This meant I could dive straight in and crack on with becoming a coach.

Final Thoughts

Having all the tools, support, and knowledge at my fingertips meant I didn’t waste any time and could immediately dive straight into my new role. The smooth transition allowed me to quickly build confidence, immerse myself in coaching, and fully focus on helping others achieve their goals without delay.

Being able to ‘crack on’ from the start not only accelerated my personal growth but also enabled me to swiftly make a meaningful impact in my clients’ lives. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the difference that becoming a coach has allowed me to make, and I’m grateful I could start making a positive contribution right from day one.
